Awarding of 2012/13 YAC European Championships
On the second day of the 10th Ordinary EHF Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark, applicants for European tournaments were given the opportunity for a presentation of their bid. The presentations were followed by the awarding for the following federations.
Men’s 20 European Championship 2012 – Turkey
The event for players born 1992 was awarded to the federation of Turkey. The event will take place from 26 July to 5 August 2012 in two arenas in Ankara – Ankara Arena and THF Handball Complex.
Men’s 18 European Championship 2012 – Austria
The event for players born 1994 was awarded to the federation of Austria. The event will take place from 9 to 19 August 2012 in two arenas in the west of the country – Arena Rieden Vorkloster in Bregenz and Sporthalle am See in Hard.
Women’s 17 European Championship 2013
As the only candidate Switzerland withdrew their application, the awarding right goes back to the EHF and new bidding has launched.
Women’s 19 European Championship 2013 – Denmark
The event for players born 1994 was awarded to the federation of Denmark. The event will take place from 1 to 11 August 2013 in two arenas – Koldinghallerne in Kolding and Idraetscenter in Haderslev.
