Beach handball season 2015 is shaping up

When the days are short, it is more or less all about indoor handball. However, before too long the sun will be out long and warm enough to for the beach handball season to throw off.

Starting the season will be the European Beach Handball Tour (ebt) Finals from 22 to 24 May 2015 which will take place in Budaörs, Hungary.

From there the spotlight moves to Spain where the city of Lloret de Mar, north of Barcelona, hosts the European Beach Handball Championships.

The Men’s and Women’s 19 event takes place from 26 to 28 June; straight afterwards the senior teams take over as they vie for the European Championship plate from 30 June to 5 July.

The registration for the championship has already started with the deadline at 9 February 2015.

With plenty of beach handball tournaments spanning the summer, many of them being part of the ebt, there is no shortage of action, until the days get shorter again.

However, the season comes to close with a bang as the second edition of the Champions Cup, the tournament for national beach handball champions, comes to Gran Canaria.

The Spanish Island already hosted the tournament’s first edition last year and will welcome the Europe’s beach handball champions once again from 5 to 8 November 2015.
