EHF EURO qualifier between former world champions, Spain and Germany, live on ehfTV

The EHF's online TV platform, ehfTV.com, will stream four EHF EURO 2016 qualifiers live and with commentary this weekend

Experienced handball commentator Paul Bray, who has been commentating for the EHF at European Championships for many years, will commentate four of the six matches from Rounds 3 and 4 that will be streamed live, including top clashes Spain vs. Germany and Serbia vs. Iceland on 3 May.

The following matches will be streamed live on ehfTV:

• Group 5: Hungary vs. Russia on Saturday 2 May, 16:10 hrs (including live commentary)
• Group 2: Denmark vs. Belarus on Saturday 2 May, 20:15 hrs (including live commentary)
• Group 7: Spain vs. Germany on Sunday 3 May, 17:00 hrs (including live commentary)
• Group 4: Serbia vs. Iceland on Sunday 3 May, 19:00 hrs (including live commentary)

The match Spain vs. Germany on 3 May, arguably the top clash of Round 4, will not be broadcast by any German TV station, meaning that ehfTV is the only possibility for German fans to follow the game live. The same holds true for all fans of Belarus and their team's match in Denmark on 2 May.

All timings are local and geo-blocking may apply in certain countries.

Enhanced coverage on social media

Introducing live commentary for the EHF EURO Qualification matches is part of larger approach by the European Handball Federation to increase the editorial coverage of the qualification rounds. This approach also sees the EHF’s mobile journalism project extended, with mobile journalists providing social media-tailored content and stories from the highlight matches.

The Men’s EHF EURO 2016 Qualification sees 28 teams competing for 15 spots at the final tournament in Poland which will be played from 15 to 31 January in the cities of Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Katowice.

The first two teams from each of the seven qualification groups will qualify as well as the best third-ranked team from all groups.

Rounds 5 and 6 of the qualification will be played from 10 to 14 June 2015. The final tournament draw will take place in the Krakow Convention Centre on 19 June 2015.

More information, including photos and videos, on the Men’s EHF EURO 2016 can be found on the official website, ehf-euro.com, as well as the EHF EURO social media channels, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube.
