The European Beach Handball Tour 2017 throws off this week with the first tournament of the season to be held in Croatia. The 10th Jarun Cup will be held at the Sports and Recreational Centre on the shores of Jarun lake in southwestern Zagreb from April 28 to May 1.

The Jarun Cup sees both male and female teams on the sand, with the men’s senior competition features four playing groups of five teams, while the women’s is comprised of 11 teams split into two playing groups. A total of eight countries will be represented at the Jarun Cup 2017: Croatia, Norway, Hungary, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark and Poland.

The top-ranked women’s team from the 2016 ebt season, Agenta Girls aka Multichem Szentendrei N.K.E., will be part of the first competition on the 2017 tour, while Detono Zagreb side is the highest-ranked men’s team from 2016 participating.
