Germany, Spain, Denmark, France fight for gold at Men’s 21 World Championship
The regular European powerhouses of men’s handball also dominate the Men’s 21 World Championship in Algeria, with Germany, Spain, France and Denmark reaching the semi-finals on Saturday.
This penultimate round will first see France taking on Denmark at 17:30 hrs local time and then Spain battling it out against Germany at 20:00 hrs.
The second encounter is the re-match of the Men’s 20 EHF EURO 2016 Final last year in which Spain beat Germany 30:29 after extra time.
France came third in the same competition, beating Croatia 35:30. Denmark finished sixth at the Men’s 20 EHF EURO 2016.
In the quarter-finals in Algiers, France did not have to many troubles, eventually overcoming FYR Macedonia 33:17.
Germany also dominated their match for most of the time, beating Tunisia, the only non-European nation left in the competition, 27:21.
Denmark enjoyed a six-goal win over Russia, while Spain had to fight the hardest to hold down Hungary, 30:29.
