2018 EHF Club Management Seminar focusses on players’ role in marketing

The players’ role in marketing is the key topic for this year’s edition of the EHF Club Managemenet Seminar in Cologne.

The seventh edition (documentations from previous years can be found at http://activities.eurohandball.com/ehfcan) takes place from 24 to 26 May in Cologne. The registration fee is € 500 including accommodation. It is possible to buy an additional ticket package for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2018 which takes place on 26/27 May.

The deadline for registration is 2 April 2018. Places are limited and will be awarded on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Participants who also register for the blended learning programme (see enclosure 1) can also obtain their ‘EHF Club Manager Licence’.

The seminar features prominent speakers from various fields of sport and media management, sport universities, leagues, clubs and federations.

Stephan Hakkers of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences presents ‘Handball 4 Dual Career – H4DC’ programme.

Thorsten Dum (Cooperative State University Baden-Württemberg) and Axel Sierau (SportTreff Cooperative) talk about investors in handball and financial fair play. Stefan Walzel from the German Sports University holds the key note on the seminar’s main topic, the players’ role in marketing.

Mario Leo (Result Sports) talks about about players as ambassadors: while Oliver Gilhaus, who works for German football club SpVgg Greuther Fürth, holds a presentation on the ‘internationalisation and digitalisation of handball.
