VELUX EHF Champions League and Plan International team up for kids

In Round 14 (27 February – 3 March 2019) the VELUX EHF Champions League will host a charity match round in cooperation with Plan International. The round’s motto ‘Team up for kids!’ supports Plan International in their efforts for children’s rights as well as girls’ equality.

The campaign will focus on social media, showing key players and fans standing behind a girl who symbolises all children worldwide. The campaign will be accompanied by special centre circle graphics and animations.  During the matches, photos will be taken with the participation of the home and the away teams standing together behind the flag kids and showing the ‘Team up for kids!’ message.

Since last season, the VELUX EHF Champions League has been committed to children’s rights organisation Plan International. To support the organisation, the VELUX EHF Champions League has sponsored Lays, a girl from Brazil and has taken part in many additional activities.

Plan International reaches sponsored children, their families and their communities in more than 50 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. The ‘Team up for kids!’ campaign aims to draw fans attention to the work of Plan International and to the fact that handball fans can also easily help by sponsoring children.

As part of the campaign, fans have the chance to win two tickets for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2019 plus a behind-the-scenes tour. For information on how to win the tickets, fans need to follow VELUX EHF Champions League social media accounts around Round 14 and the official hashtag #teamupforkids.
