Shoot-out rules explained
When beach handball matches go down to the wire, meaning that both teams have won one half each, a shoot-out has to decide the final outcome.
The shoot-out is vaguely similar to a penalty in ice hockey, with each team having five attempts and one player trying to rifle the ball past the goalkeeper.
