EHF EURO 2016 awarded to Poland and Sweden

In the final session of the EHF Congress in Monaco, the member federations awarded several upcoming major EHF events.  

Men's EHF EURO 2016 goes to Poland

The main decision was for the Men’s EHF EURO 2016, for which Poland, Croatia and Norway had bid.

After the presentation of all bids, the majority voted in favour of Poland (27 votes), followed by Croatia (15 votes) and Norway (4 votes).

The only applicant for the 2016 Women’s EHF EURO was Sweden, as Turkey withdrew from their candidature.

The Men’s 2016 EHF EURO will be hosted in the cities of Gdansk, Katowice, Lodz, Krakow and Wroclaw from 17 to 31 January 2016.

Women's EHF EURO 2016 in Sweden

The matches of the Women’s EHF EURO 2016 (4 to 18 December 2016) will be played in Stockholm, Kristianstad, Gothenburg, Helsingborg and Malmo.
