IHF congratulate the EHF on 20 years

IHF congratulate EHF on their 20th Anniversary

President of the International Handball Federation (IHF) Dr. Hassan Moustafa, on behalf of the IHF, presented Tor Lian, EHF President, on behalf of the European Handball Federation (EHF), with a special certificate in recognition of the EHF 20th Anniversary.

In his presentation speech Dr. Moustafa said:

“Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of the European Handball Federation.  During the last 20 years the EHF has not only been a competent and reliable partner of the International Handball Federation but also proved a drive and fresh impetus to make international handball progress.

“Multiple representatives from Europe – coaches, referees, delegates - offered their services to the IHF, eager to encourage handball on a global scale and thus to boost the development of our sport worldwide. The best handball teams and the best handball experts in any fields of activities are from Europe and the IHF is happy to profit from their knowledge.

“The executives of the EHF and the IHF sit on a number of bodies and thus have a common line on major topics evidenced by joint working groups. For that reason I trust the IHF and the EHF will pull together in all areas of international handball in the future. I am confident that the EHF further progresses to such an extent it has done over the last 20 years – and I am looking forward to an even closer partnership on all levels.”
