Legal meetings in Vienna

The European Handball Federation established legal structures to deal with disputes in an open and transparent manner. The legal bodies in charge of settling disputes in handball hold regular annual meetings in order to further develop working structures. The past weekend was used in the EHF Headquarters in Vienna for the annual meetings of the EHF Arbitration Tribunal as well as the EHF Court of Arbitration.

On Saturday, 13 March, the eight members of the EHF Arbitration Tribunal, led by the Chairman Rui Coelho, held a session where they reviewed the activities of last year and made proposals on revising the current arbitration regulations.

The next day saw the meeting of the three ECA Council members who looked back at the operation of the highest legal body in European handball over the past 12 months.

Three representatives of the Competitions Commission, including Chairman Jan Tuik, joined in for the occasion. The communication between the legal and technical experts served creating a better understanding between the various levels.
